It runs as a VST3, AU or AAX plugin on Windows and macOS for $39, with a separate iOS version.

Best for: Keys & Synths, Guitars, Vocals. Genres: Electronic & EDM, Ambient & Cinematic, Pop.

Keywords: creative, freeze, pitch-shifting, synths, vocals, classic, bitcrush, electric guitar, mixing, AAX, AUv3/iOS, beginner-friendly, destructive, evolving, experimental, lo-fi, macro controls, ping-pong, ring mod, simple, smooth, sound design, spectral, tape, visual feedback.

What it does

BLEASS Tides is a stereo delay built for sound design, with smooth delay-time changes, input filtering and a chain of effects inside the feedback loop. Each repeat passes through the effects again, so echoes can distort, shift and crumble as they fade.

When to use it

BLEASS Tides focuses on the effects chain inside the feedback loop: with five slots of distortion, bit-crushing, pitch and frequency shifting and filters, each repeat changes as it circulates. In spirit it sits closer to Timeless 3, a deep modulated delay with flexible filters, than to EchoBoy and Galaxy Tape Echo, which model vintage echo hardware, or Valhalla Delay, which covers many classic delay types at a low price. The modulation matrix and the Freeze and Kill buttons make it a performance tool as much as a mixing delay. It is not trying to sound like a tape or analog unit, so for classic echoes the rated vintage-style delays are a better fit.

What producers say

Coverage so far is light, but the reception is positive.
