What it does

BLEASS Peaks is a multi-peak filter that can be played from MIDI like an instrument. The developer describes it as combining classic filtering "with the spontaneous spirit of performance", and in MIDI mode it works as a true polyphonic filter.

It was released in 2026. A full demo is available.

When to use it

Peaks has a different aim from FilterFreak and Volcano 3, the top-rated filters for classic resonant sweeps, and from Filterverse and FilterShaper XL, which add modern modulation and shaping: it offers many resonant peaks at once and a MIDI mode that makes the filter playable, so it behaves more like a resonator than a sweep filter. It sits closer to sound-design tools than to everyday mix filters. Its modulation, MPE support and built-in effects make it a full creative instrument at a mid-range price.

What producers say

Early coverage sees it as an innovative sound-design filter rather than an everyday tool.
