What it does

BLEASS Motion FX is a sequenced effect: you pick one of 11 effect types and a motion sequencer moves its settings in time. The developer pitches it as "a new and creative workflow to effects sound design".

11 effects: one effect runs at a time; the range includes various filters, a delay, a ring modulator and pitch shifters.
Motion sequencer: steps and curves move the chosen effect's parameters over time.
Randomize per effect: a Randomize per Effect option was added after launch, according to forum users.
Workflow: built for quick, rhythmic movement on loops and parts rather than static processing.

When to use it

Motion FX is simpler and much cheaper than Effectrix2 and Infiltrator 2, the rated heavyweights of sequenced effects, which stack many effects at once with deep per-effect sequencing. It focuses on one effect at a time moved by a sequencer, rather than the gestures and glitches of Stutter Edit 2 or the drawn filter and volume curves of ShaperBox 3, which makes it quick to learn. iOS users have called it a lighter alternative to Sugar Bytes' Looperator.

Best for: rhythmic filter sweeps, stepped pitch and ring-mod movement, and quick motion on loops, synths and beats.
Genres: electronic, hip-hop and pop.
Look elsewhere if: you want several sequenced effects stacked at once or finer timing options; Effectrix2 or Infiltrator 2 go further.
