What it does
BSA Delays is Black Salt Audio's take on "delay, simplified": a set of hand-tuned delay styles with reverb, drive and width built in. The idea is to pick a style that already works in a modern mix instead of building a delay from scratch.
- Hand-tuned modes: distinct delay styles curated by the developer, from tight slapbacks to vocal pockets. You choose a mode and adjust it, rather than set every parameter yourself.
- Time: tempo-synced to the host or set manually.
- Feedback: sets how many repeats you hear, from a single slap to longer trails.
- Reverb: a built-in reverb blend adds depth and space to the repeats, so a separate reverb send is often not needed.
- Drive: tape-style saturation on the repeats for warmth and grit.
- Wide and tone: a Wide button spreads the repeats across the stereo field, and low and high cuts keep them out of the way of the dry signal.
- Adaptive interface: only the controls relevant to the chosen mode are shown, which keeps the screen short.
A perpetual license is available, a 14-day free trial is offered, and it is also part of the Artist Pass subscription (18 plugins).

When to use it
BSA Delays is the pick when you want a good vocal or guitar delay in seconds rather than a deep delay to program. Compared with EchoBoy, it has far fewer styles and no multi-tap Rhythm mode or groove controls, but it costs much less and adds a built-in reverb. Next to Valhalla Delay and Timeless 3 it is much less flexible, with no modulation section or modulation routing, though its fixed modes and short control set make it quicker to set up. It suits engineers who want a delay that sits in a mix by default, especially on vocals in pop and hip-hop.
- Best for: fast vocal throws, slapbacks and guitar delays that already have space and tone shaping built in.
- Genres: pop, hip-hop, R&B and rock.
- Look elsewhere if: you want detailed tape modeling, rhythmic multi-tap patterns or deep modulation; EchoBoy or Timeless 3 go much further.
