What it does
Tekno is a drum synthesizer that generates each hit from scratch instead of playing back samples.
- Engines: 18 drum voices (kicks, snares, hats, toms, claps, congas and percussion) using analog circuit modelling and FM synthesis.
- Sequencer: built-in, with smart randomisation, auto-fill, variable step lengths and chance values; sequences can be exported as MIDI.
- Effects: analog-modelled tape saturation, excitation and per-voice compression, plus a master limiter/clipper.
- Presets: 72 global presets and 1,296 individual voice presets.
Version 1.1.1 (July 2026) added choke groups, MIDI mapping and humanize options.

When to use it
A good fit for producers who want electronic drums with variation from hit to hit, rather than a sample library. The built-in sequencer means you can sketch beats without a separate drum plugin. It suits techno, house and other electronic styles.
Choose a sampler or acoustic drum library if you need realistic kits.
