What it does
Moon Echo is a free delay that models moon-bounce radio communications: signals sent at the moon and reflected back with frequency shifts and artefacts.
- Radio stages: transmitter and receiver emulation with automatic levelling.
- Modes: simplex (one dish) and duplex (two dishes).
- Controls: Doppler shift, delay time and "Moon Dust" noise with envelope.
- NASA data: can use real-time moon distance from NASA's Horizons system.

When to use it
A free, off-beat delay whose repeats are crunchy and modulated by Doppler-style shifts. It complements a main delay (EchoBoy, Valhalla Delay) rather than replacing one; try it on synths, vocals and effects for sci-fi and lo-fi echoes. Genres: electronic, ambient, dub and experimental.
