What it does
Fog Convolver 2 is a true stereo convolution processor aimed at creative use, applying impulse responses to audio and letting you modulate and edit them.
- Dual engine: two impulse responses with six routing modes, including serial, parallel, true stereo and mid/side.
- Modulation: two LFOs per impulse with 18 destinations.
- Shaping: multi-mode filters, a five-band graphic EQ, a Space Simulator and a built-in IR generator; chorus, phaser, compressor and waveshaper effects.
- Content: more than 740 impulse responses in nine factory banks; drag in your own WAV, AIFF or FLAC files.

When to use it
Fog Convolver 2 suits sound design as much as space: layering two impulses, modulating them and processing the result. For faithful real-room reverb, Altiverb 8 is the more focused choice; this is for building textures, odd resonances and unusual spaces.
