What it does

Filterjam is a free multi-band resonant filter that AudioThing describes as delivering "weird ringmod-like filtered sounds".

Four bands: the signal is split into bands that can be summed or multiplied together.
Range: from gentle colouring to extreme mangling.
Extras: oversampling up to 16x, low CPU use, preset randomizer.

When to use it

A free tool for sound design: multiplying the bands gives metallic, ring-mod-style textures that ordinary filters don't. Try it on drums, synths and vocals for effects and transitions.

Genres: electronic, experimental, industrial and glitch.
