What it does

Deleight is Audiority's stereo multi-tap delay, based on "late '90s digital delays hardware processors". Its taps can be set close together or far apart, so the same engine makes echoes, choruses, flangers, doublers and early reflections.

The current version is 1.4.1 (May 2023). A demo is available; in demo mode the plugin outputs 3 seconds of silence every minute.

When to use it

Deleight is the better pick when you want a multi-tap delay with a late-90s digital rack flavour that also doubles as a chorus, flanger and doubler. Compared with UltraTap, it is a simpler, cheaper multi-tap with a fixed set of eight panned taps, plus cross feedback, a loop mode and sample rate reduction for an older digital sound. It is more specialised than H-Delay or Valhalla Delay, which cover tape and analog styles as well, and it has none of EchoBoy's tape and analog echo models.

What producers say

Reviewers rate it as a capable, easy-to-use multi-tap delay with a quirky, creative side.
