What it does

360pan suite gives "full control over your 360 (spatial, ambisonics) audio," delivering AmbiX b-format mixes up to third order that respond to the viewer's head movement on platforms such as YouTube and Facebook.

360pan: pans mono, stereo or four-channel sources into ambisonics using pucks overlaid on the DAW's video window, with direct panning and distance control.
360monitor and 360radar: binaural decoding for checking mixes on headphones, and a display showing where sound sits in the ambisonics field.
360reverb: an omnidirectional convolution reverb using ambisonics impulse responses, with pan-following and per-source reverb width.
360limiter and 360turner: a true ambisonics look-ahead limiter with EBU R128 loudness metering, and a tool to rotate or tilt recordings to fix microphone alignment.
Orders and conversion: first to third order variants (4, 9 or 16 channels) plus FuMa-to-AmbiX and AmbiX-to-FuMa converters.

When to use it

360pan suite is a complete ambisonics toolkit rather than a stereo imager. Where Waves B360 Ambisonics Encoder and S360 Surround Imager & Panner cover ambisonics encoding and channel-based surround panning, and Almudio 3D Panner is a lighter spatial panner, 360pan suite covers the whole job. Choose 360pan suite when you are mixing sound for 360-degree video and want to pan on the picture, monitor binaurally and add matching ambisonics reverb in one set.

Best for: 360-degree video, VR and immersive post-production delivered as AmbiX b-format.
Genres: cinematic and immersive media work.
Look elsewhere if: you work in channel-based Atmos rather than ambisonics.
