Stage-73 V2 by Arturia

A physically modelled Rhodes electric piano covering the 1973 and 1974 Stage models and the Suitcase model with its preamp EQ. It uses no samples, so it is small and quick to load.

You can adjust hammer hardness, pickup distance and alignment, dampers and tone-bar resonance, then run it through a Fender Twin or Leslie-style amp and a four-slot pedalboard. It is used for soul, jazz, R&B, hip-hop and lo-fi keys.

When to use it

An affordable, light Rhodes for soul, jazz, R&B and lo-fi, with deep control over the mechanics. Choose Electric 88 for a sampled Rhodes, or Lounge Lizard EP-5 for modelled tine and reed pianos in one plugin.
