What it does

Rev SPRING-636 recreates a Grampian spring reverb, pairing spring tanks with a germanium preamp.

Preamp: two types, including a saturated, fuzzy germanium sound.
Shaping: pre-delay, a multimode pre-filter, a parametric EQ and an input/output gain link switch.

When to use it

Rev SPRING-636 is a character reverb. Where plate and hall reverbs are smooth, springs are splashy and twangy, and the preamp can push them into fuzz. It is a strong pick when a mix needs a vintage or lo-fi feel.

Best for: guitars, drums, organs and lo-fi textures.
Genres: surf, garage rock, dub, reggae, blues and lo-fi.
