Jun-6 V by Arturia

Arturia's software model of the Roland Juno-6, a simple one-oscillator polysynth with its famous BBD stereo chorus.

It adds 36-voice polyphony, a second modulation layer, an arpeggiator with chord voicings, and delay and reverb, while keeping the original's quick, hands-on layout.

Best for: Keys & Synths, Bass, Sound Design. Genres: Electronic & EDM, Pop, Lo-Fi, Ambient & Cinematic, R&B & Soul.

Keywords: arpeggiator, polyphonic, analog, hardware emulation, BBD, 80s, basses, pads, simple, warm, analog-sounding, bright, classic, crunchy, leads, lo-fi, modern, monophonic, organ, preset-driven, sound design, subtractive, vintage.

What it does

Jun-6 V is Arturia's emulation of the Roland Juno-6, billed as "Instant analog love." It uses Arturia's TAE analog modeling to recreate the Juno's single-oscillator voice, filter and chorus, then adds modern extras.

It is also part of V Collection.

When to use it

Jun-6 V is the pick when you want the Juno-6 layout with a larger voice count, chord arpeggiator and built-in effects in Arturia's V Collection workflow. It models the Juno-6, where TAL-U-NO-LX, the long-running alternative, is based on the Juno-60 and Softube Model 84 models the Juno-106, and it is narrower than u-he Diva, which covers several classic analog synths in one plugin. Unlike Arturia's own Chorus JUN-6, which gives you just the chorus as an effect, it is the full synth.

What producers say

Reviewers found it a close and easy-to-program Juno emulation, with one noting the filter tracking differs from the hardware.
