What it does
Filter MINI is Arturia's take on the Moog-style ladder filter from its Mini V synthesizer, as an effect for any audio source.
- Filter: 24 dB/octave low-pass with cutoff, emphasis (resonance) and drive controls.
- Modulation: an LFO with four waveforms plus sample & hold, tempo-syncable to the DAW.
- Sequencer: up to 8 steps modulating cutoff, emphasis and LFO rate.
- Envelope follower: moves the filter with the level of the incoming signal.
- Extras: dry/wet, output level and 30 presets.
It is included in FX Collection Pro.
When to use it
Filter MINI is the simple, classic-sounding option among Arturia's filters: one warm ladder low-pass with drive and enough modulation to make it move on its own. For a more complex, dual-filter setup, Filter M12 goes further.
- Best for: basslines, synths, drum loops and filter sweeps and rhythmic gating with the step sequencer.
- Genres: electronic, house, techno, hip-hop and synth-driven pop.
