What it does
Efx MOTIONS is a rhythmic motion effect built around drawable envelopes that move five processing modules over time.
- Modules: Filter (five types), Noise, Drive (ten options including Tape and Softclip), Volume (tremolo and stutter) and Pan.
- Motion Envelope Editor: customisable shapes; triggered by an envelope sequencer, Euclidean gates, clock sync, MIDI or a transient detector.
- Beat Repeater: 16 steps with Roll, Reverse, Pitch, Stretch and Stop modes.
- Extras: crossover for band selection, two FX sends with 14 FX types, modulation generators, two macros and 300+ presets.
When to use it
Compared with modulation effects like ShaperBox 3 or Movement, it puts more weight on risers, swells and beat-repeat style edits. It suits transitions and rhythmic movement.
- Best for: builds, drops, transitions and rhythmic filter or volume patterns.
- Genres: EDM, techno, pop and hip-hop.
