What it does
Efx FRAGMENTS is a granular processor that divides incoming sound into grains you can shape and re-trigger.
- Modes: Classic (fully editable), Rhythmic (tempo-synced) and Texture (ambient-focused).
- Modules: Buffer with freeze, Grain Capture with transient detection and quantisation, Grain Release, and Pan & FX with nine spatial trajectories.
- Musical tools: pitch quantisation across 15 scales over plus or minus three octaves.
- Modulation and FX: envelope follower, three function generators, a step sequencer, two FX slots (including Multi-Filter, Tape Echo and Stereo Flanger) and a Grain Crush bitcrusher.
- Extras: 60 presets.
When to use it
A more playable and rhythmic granular tool than most, with scale quantisation to keep results in key. It suits stutters, clouds and freezes on loops, vocals and pads.
