What it does
Bus FORCE is a multi-module bus processor with three parallel signal paths (Dry, Comp and Sat), each with its own level.
- Modules: Pultec-style equaliser, a filter with SEM-inspired low- and high-pass and resonance, a VCA-style compressor with two detection circuits, saturation in four flavours, and a clipping stage.
- Routing: 36+ routing configurations and an external sidechain option.
- Extras: extensive metering, a resizable interface, built-in tutorials and a preset browser.
- Availability: sold on its own or inside FX Collection Pro.
When to use it
Bus FORCE puts EQ, compression, saturation and clipping in one window, so it is closer to a channel-strip or bus tool than a straight compressor like FabFilter Pro-C 3 or the Waves SSL G-Master. The parallel paths make it well suited to blending clean and driven versions of a group.
- Best for: drum buses, synth groups and mix-bus colour where you want compression and saturation together.
- Look elsewhere if: you want a single faithful hardware-style bus compressor.
