What it does

Throat is a physical-modelling vocal plugin that lets you "shape any voice" by changing a simulated vocal tract.

Vocal tract: stretch, widen or constrict the modelled tract.
Voice shaping: breathiness control with variable noise frequency, glottal waveform changes and formant sculpting.
Pitch: shift up or down by up to one octave.

When to use it

Throat changes the character of a voice (bigger, smaller, breathier) with formant and vocal tract controls. It is gentler than Mutator, which goes to extremes. Useful for character work and gender or age shifts, and for adding vocal ideas to sound design.

Best for: character voices, vocal layering and formant experiments.
