What it does
Mic Mod models the sound of more than 100 vintage and modern microphones and applies it to existing recordings.
- Mic models: includes models of Neumann, AKG and Telefunken microphones among others.
- Analog character: saturation and warmth controls.
- Fine-tuning: options for subtle variations of each model.
When to use it
Mic Mod lets you re-voice a vocal recorded on a modest mic after the fact. It works on audio you have already recorded rather than at the source. It suits home recordings more than tracks already done on a top-tier mic.
- Best for: adding the character of a classic mic to home or demo vocals.
- Best on: vocals, which is the plugin's main focus.
