What it does
Aspire separates the breathy (aspiration) noise in a vocal from its harmonic content, so you can change one without touching the other.
- Amount control: reduce rasp and breathiness, or add smokiness and air.
- Noise EQ: a parametric EQ that acts only on the separated noise component.
- Real-time display: a visual readout of what the processing is doing.
When to use it
Aspire covers a job a normal EQ or de-esser can't: treating breath noise without dulling the tone. It also works as a creative tool for whispery or smoky vocals. It is a niche fix or colour tool rather than something for every vocal chain.
