What it does

MAXBAX is a fully passive Baxandall-style EQ with an extra mid band, for gentle tonal shaping. It was previously called MASBAX.

Low: 20, 30, 40, 60, 85 or 120 Hz, stepped boost/cut in 0.5 dB steps.
Mid: 0.2, 0.4, 0.8, 2, 4 or 7 kHz.
High: 9, 13, 16, 20, 27 or 40 kHz.
Modes: dual mono or mid/side with linking; +/-6 dB output; resizable interface.

Version 2.0.0 is free from the developer's Patreon.

When to use it

Broad, musical moves in fixed steps, suited to mastering and mix-bus tone. The high band reaching up to 40 kHz gives a very open top-end lift. For surgical work use a parametric like FabFilter Pro-Q 4.

Best for: final tone tweaks on mixes and stems.
