What it does

ATONE is a free channel strip built around an EQ, a filter section and a compressor, with each module able to be bypassed on its own.

Input: the INPUT knob drives the EQ circuit's gain trim for op-amp saturation.
Filters: a high-pass filter (20 Hz to 600 Hz) and a low-pass filter (20 kHz to 500 Hz) in an A-Type design.
EQ: a 3-band inductor-based A-Type equalizer.
Compressor: a "436c style" compressor with attack and release controls and an AMOUNT knob that sets compression and make-up gain together.
Output: a master volume control.

Analog Obsession notes there is no mic preamp input stage. The current version is 1.0.

When to use it

ATONE is a compact all-in-one strip for shaping tone and levelling a track in one window. If you also want a preamp and de-esser in the same strip, Analog Obsession's CHANNEV covers more stages.

Best for: tracking-style tone shaping on vocals, guitars, bass and keys.
Look elsewhere if: you need mic-preamp gain staging or a de-esser in the chain.
