What it does

Ample Guitar T is Ample Sound's sampled Taylor 714CE, a bright steel-string acoustic. The developer's stated aim is to bring "a Taylor 714CE Acoustic Guitar sound" to your studio, played from MIDI with guitar-aware tools.

When to use it

Ample Guitar T is a programmable steel-string acoustic, so you build parts note by note or from tab rather than triggering loops. It does a different job from Heavier7Strings (Three-Body Technology), the rated guitar instrument on the site, which is a metal electric. Compared with Tonalic (Celemony, rated), which plays recorded human performances that follow your chords, it is slower for backing parts but more editable. It works in a similar MIDI-driven way to MusicLab RealGuitar. Within Ample's range, Guitar T is the brighter, more modern-sounding acoustic, and Guitar M (the Martin) is the fuller dreadnought.

What producers say

There is little recent feedback, and it is mixed: the sound gets praise, the workflow less so.
