What it does
A Brainworx emulation of a hardware mastering compressor using several true RMS detector circuits.
- Detectors: three circuits (slow, fast and peak), with a monitor graph showing which is in control.
- Ratios: a program-dependent Soft mode and harder knee alternatives.
- Tools: VCA Clip, a 3-band sidechain filter, Mono Maker and Stereo Width.
- Versions: includes a mono version for individual tracks.
When to use it
A gentle, natural-sounding compressor for mastering and mix-bus glue, also usable on vocals, bass and acoustic guitar. It is calmer than punchy FET or VCA bus compressors.
- Best for: mastering and slow, transparent bus compression.
