What it does

Vocal Harmonizer is AIR's harmony generator, sold on its own and as part of the AIR Vocal Suite. It builds up to four-part harmonies or a whole background section from one lead vocal, so you skip the timing and pitch problems of stacking separately sung takes; the developer pitches it as a way to "create full 4-part harmonies instantly".

KVR lists version 1.2.1.14. Neither page mentions a demo.

When to use it

Vocal Harmonizer is the simpler, set-and-go option: pick intervals for up to four voices, then balance them with EQ, pan and pitch. Compared with Waves Harmony, it has fewer voices and none of Harmony's MIDI-driven control, but there is less to learn for quick backing parts. Unlike Auto-Tune Pro 11 or Melodyne 5 editor, it does not correct the lead; it only adds new lines around it, so it pairs with them rather than replacing them. Against Little AlterBoy, which turns one voice into one changed voice, it is the better pick when you want several parts at once. For hand-placed, natural-sounding harmonies, editing copies in Melodyne or Revoice Pro 5 gives more control.
