What it does
Vocal Doubler is AIR's vocal stacking plugin, part of the AIR Vocal Suite. It creates extra voices from a single take so a lead gains width and separation while staying centred in the mix. (It is a different product from iZotope's free Vocal Doubler.)

When to use it
Vocal Doubler is a single-purpose tool for quickly turning one vocal take into a wide stack. Compared with Abbey Road Reel ADT, it aims at multi-voice thickness rather than a classic tape-style double. Compared with Nectar 4, it does one job instead of a full vocal chain, so it fits after your own EQ and compression. Unlike iZotope's free Vocal Doubler, it is a paid plugin, sold alone or within AIR's Vocal Suite.
- Best for: thickening and widening lead and backing vocals, hooks and chants.
- Genres: pop, hip-hop, R&B and electronic.
- Look elsewhere if: you want a classic ADT sound (Reel ADT), a complete vocal chain (Nectar 4) or a free option (iZotope Vocal Doubler).
