Jet is a free 2-band dynamic EQ suite inspired by a top UK bus compressor, with one sampled and two algorithmic EQ models.
It includes a glue compressor, stereo or mid/side modes and sidechain options, and comes as Jet and Jet Mix; free.

What it does
Jet is a free Acustica suite built around a 2-band dynamic EQ and a glue compressor inspired by "one of the top bus compressors made in the UK". The developer's aim was a "powerful, uncompromising, yet user-friendly 2-band dynamic equalizer" for jobs where a static EQ isn't enough.
- Two players: Jet, aimed at bus processing, and Jet Mix, aimed at mix use.
- Three EQ models: a sampled EQ taken from Acustica's Eminence (low shelf at 20, 40, 80 or 160 Hz; high shelf at 7, 10, 15 or 20 kHz), plus the algorithmic Digital Shelf and Digital Shelf HQ 2X, each with 11 low frequencies (20–700 Hz) and 11 high frequencies (700 Hz–17 kHz).
- Hybrid design: roughly half analog sampling, half digital processing; the dynamic part is algorithmic.
- Glue compressor: a bus compressor for cohesion alongside the dynamic EQ.
- Modes and sidechain: classic stereo (LR), Mid or Side, with internal and external sidechain.
- Static EQ: the bands can also work as a normal EQ; the interface is resizable.
- Expansion volumes: paid Volumes add more EQ emulations; BPB reported Volume A with 24 extra models.

When to use it
Jet has only two shelving bands at fixed frequency steps, so it can't notch out a resonance the way TDR Nova, a free, flexible multi-band dynamic EQ, F6, a paid dynamic EQ with six bands, or Pro-Q 4, which adds dynamic bands to a full surgical EQ, can. What it adds is sampled color and a glue compressor in the same window, which makes it a tone-and-control tool for buses rather than a fixer. Mid/Side modes make it handy for taming a boomy low end or harsh top on only the sides or centre of a mix. As a sampled plugin it uses more CPU than TDR Nova.
- Best for: gentle dynamic shelving and glue on drum, music and mix buses, for free.
- Genres: any.
- Look elsewhere if: you need more bands, bell filters or precise problem solving; TDR Nova is also free and more flexible, and Pro-Q 4 or F6 go further.
