dxSplit
by Accentize · Restoration · Dialogue voice/reverb/noise separator
Not rated yet
A dialogue plugin that splits a recording into voice, reverb and noise, each with its own fader, solo, mute and parametric EQ.
Its CORE algorithm runs in real time, an EXTENDED mode on macOS uses the Apple Neural Engine for offline work, and dxRevive Pro can load inside it.
Best for: Vocals, Sound Design. Genres: Ambient & Cinematic.
Keywords: dialogue, repair, post-production, podcast, film & game audio, AAX, Apple Silicon native, corrective, sound design, vocals.
What it does
dxSplit is an intelligent plugin that "automatically splits dialogue into three components" so you can balance voice, reverb and noise in post-production.
- Component faders: set the level of voice, reverb and noise, link them, and solo or mute each for monitoring.
- Per-component EQ: a parametric EQ on each component for tonal shaping without leaving the plugin.
- Algorithms: CORE for fast rendering and real-time insert use; EXTENDED on macOS uses the Apple silicon Neural Engine for higher-precision offline noise reduction. Windows has CORE only.
- dxRevive integration: load dxRevive inside dxSplit to combine separation with restoration synthesis.
- Local processing: all processing runs on your machine.
It works at 44.1 to 192 kHz in mono and stereo, with a 7-day trial (version 1.1.2 at the time of writing).

When to use it
dxSplit is the pick when you want voice, reverb and noise as three mixable stems in one real-time plugin, especially if you already use dxRevive Pro. Like Acon Digital Extract:Dialogue 2 and the dialogue tools in iZotope RX 12, it separates speech from noise and room, while Waves Clarity Vx Pro handles noise alone.
- Best for: film and TV dialogue editing, cleaning lav and boom tracks, podcasts and interview audio with traffic, wind or room problems.
- Genres: post-production and spoken word.
- Look elsewhere if: you are on Windows and need the best offline quality; the EXTENDED algorithm is macOS only.
- Standout: separate faders and EQs for voice, reverb and noise, so cleanup is a mix decision rather than a single reduction amount.
What producers say
Early reviews praise the separation quality and the dxRevive pairing.
- Production Expert (2026) Paul Maunder called the core separation "highly effective" with high-quality real-time processing without excessive CPU load.
- Production Expert (2026) he said the dxRevive Pro pairing is "a very powerful combination" and noted 3072 samples of latency in Pro Tools, which is compensated.
