What it does

dxRevive Pro is Accentize's AI speech restoration plugin. It goes beyond noise reduction: it tries to rebuild what a poor recording lost, aiming for 'studio-like' dialogue from any source.

Clean-up: removes background noise and reverb and cleans up codec artefacts from compressed or online recordings.
Frequency restoration: recovers missing high and low frequencies in band-limited, thin-sounding recordings.
Algorithms (Pro): Studio3, Natural2, EQ Restore and Retain Character, from full 'studio' transformation to keeping the original sound and only removing problems.
Fine control (Pro): a Spectral Focus mode and per-band bypass buttons for frequency-specific tuning, presets for common repair jobs and quick A/B comparison.
Local processing: the neural networks run on your computer, in real time, for any speaker, language or accent.

Sample rates go up to 192 kHz. The standard dxRevive is cheaper than Pro and has a single knob.

When to use it

Where Clarity Vx Pro and Clarity Vx DeReverb Pro remove noise and room, dxRevive Pro also adds back what's missing, which makes it the stronger choice for thin, band-limited or badly compressed speech such as phone calls, video calls and old archive recordings. It is built for speech only, where RX 12 and UNVEIL cover music too.

Best for: film and TV dialogue, podcasts with remote guests, interviews and documentary audio that needs to match studio-recorded voices.
Genres: spoken word and post-production across all genres; it can also rescue a phone-recorded vocal idea.
Look elsewhere if: you need zero latency for live use, or you're cleaning instruments or full mixes. It adds noticeable delay and is tuned for voice.

What producers say

Reviews are very positive about the results; the price and CPU load are the usual complaints.

Sound On Sound (2024) called it a 'stunningly effective' noise-plus-reverb remover and enhancer, and got better results with it than with other processors alone; it notes latency and limits with heavy VoIP artefacts or over-compression.
Record Production praised the easy workflow and 'astonishingly good results' in real time, but found it CPU-heavy and the Pro version expensive.
Production Expert found it especially good on band-limited, thin recordings and listed it among the best RX alternatives.
