vst3s Score 8.4/10 · rated #9 of 10 restoration & repair
A real-time reverb removal plugin that uses a neural network trained on many rooms to separate direct sound from reflections in dialogue.
The Pro version adds room resonance suppression, a spectral focus mode, attack and release controls, reverb-only listening and separate left/right processing.
Best for: Vocals, Sound Design. Genres: Ambient & Cinematic.

What it does
DeRoom is a machine-learning reverb removal plugin that gives you "dry audio recordings in seconds." It analyzes the room echo in dialogue recorded in poor spaces and removes it in real time, with DeRoom Pro as the version for professional post-production.
- Automatic estimation: the network works out room timing on its own; you mainly set the reduction amount.
- Resonance suppression: reduces room resonances as well as reverb tails.
- Pro controls: spectral focus mode, attack/release, reverb-only listening and separate L/R processing.
- Visualization: spectrogram and gain reduction display.
- Version 2: a reworked plugin; 2.0.3 lowered CPU use.
It works at 44.1 to 192 kHz in mono and stereo, with a 7-day trial. A standard DeRoom is also available.

When to use it
DeRoom Pro covers similar ground to Waves Clarity Vx DeReverb Pro, the de-reverb module in iZotope RX 12 and SPL De-Verb Plus. It is a good fit when you want a real-time, automatic de-reverb aimed at dialogue in post, especially alongside other Accentize tools such as dxRevive Pro.
- Best for: cleaning up roomy dialogue, voice-overs and interviews for film, TV and podcasts.
- Genres: post-production and spoken word rather than music.
- Look elsewhere if: you need a full repair suite with many modules; RX 12 covers more problems in one package.
- Standout: automatic room estimation, so strong reduction takes only one or two controls.
What producers say
Opinions are positive on quality, with care needed to avoid artifacts at strong settings.
- recordproduction.com Anthony Gofton found dialogue "significantly clearer and more intelligible without sounding over-processed."
- Gripe: he found moderate settings over several passes avoided artifacts better than one aggressive pass.
