Chameleon by Accentize

A reverb plugin that analyzes a recording, extracts its room acoustics and reapplies them to dry audio, built for ADR, Foley and dialogue matching.

A neural network trained on over 30,000 rooms builds the reverb profile in seconds; the technology won a 2026 Engineering, Science & Technology Emmy.

Best for: Vocals, Sound Design. Genres: Ambient & Cinematic.

Keywords: post-production, room, AI/machine learning, dialogue, sound design, spacious, visual feedback, built-in analyzer, CPU-light, impulse-response based, spectral, subtle, vocals.

What it does

Chameleon lets you "imitate any reverb": it analyzes production recordings, extracts their natural acoustics and recreates them as a realistic reverb for studio material. Accentize aims it at reverb matching, ADR, Foley and immersive sound design.

It supports 44.1 to 192 kHz and has a 7-day trial (version 2.1.5 at the time of writing).

When to use it

Chameleon is the pick when the target is a specific production recording. Where Audio Ease Altiverb 8 matches spaces with a library of sampled real rooms, and Valhalla Room or FabFilter Pro-R 2 make algorithmic spaces you tune by ear, Chameleon listens to the take and builds a matching reverb for ADR and Foley.

What producers say

Post-production reviewers praise how natural and fast the matching is, with some wanting more control.
